Its historical heritage
School of Montjouvent
The house is the old school of the village of Montjouvent in the jura. The classrooms has been transformed into a living room, the master's appartements into bedrooms, the entrance into a kitchen... This house steeped in history could tell you about the school of yesteryear... On the 1st floor (parental suite and bathroom) was the town hall, many weddings were celebrated there, our neighbors united there about sixty years ago. The 2 stone remains located at the left and right ends of the garden were then the boys and girls toilets !

The Living Room
Originally our living room was the classroom of school. The room is very bright, naturally cool in summer, the stone walls are over a meter thick.
We wanted to bring a warm and cosy atmosphere, a wood stove awaits you for your mild winter evenings.
Library, big screen TV, Netflix are at your disposal...
The Rooms
The Schoolmaster's apartments were located in this space.
The parental suite with an area of 30 m2 has a king size bed, television. She is connected to the large bathroom, view magnificent over the Valouse valley.
Bedroom number 2 has 2 beds 90 x 2m with a view of the meadows.
Both bedrooms include cupboard storage and chests of drawers.
The Kitchen
The high-tech equipped kitchen was completely redone in 2022. Complete equipment (fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, induction hob, 2 kettles, toaster) nothing is missing to allow you to prepare delicious meals in peace !
Barbecue also available for grilling in the garden !
The Garden
The garden with an area of 550 m2 offers 2 exhibitions:
The terrace equipped with table and chairs in the shade of the old courtyard borders the lawn and the flower beds, barbecue available. From the garden, we hear the birds of the sky singing, and the communal fountain that adjoins our garden murmuring.
At the back of the house, a reading area or relaxation, with a magnificent view of the valley de la Valouse awaits you.
A gardener intervenes every 15 days, in all discretion, to ensure the maintenance of the garden.
